Be very careful if you're chatting in a chat room. DONT give out any personal information because you never know what someone could do with it or where it could end up. Even if you think that someone is your age, they could be any age! Someone could learn a lot of information about you just by knowing your e-mail adress! It is kind of scary to know all of the things that they could do. I think it's alright if some kids have myspace. I dont think its as bad as some people think it is. It helps some students stay in touch with their friends from other schools but thats about it. Be careful when chatting! =]

I didnt know that people could find out so much stuff about you in 20 minutes. I think that myspace is dumb and i have an account but i never get on. I just play games all day, watch movies, or go outside and ride fourwheelers. I think that it would be dumb to give out all that information.

Heyy, what's up? This is Abi. I have been going to Midland Schools since kindergarten and this is my third year at MMS! I like our school a lot =]
I'd have to say that i enjoy all of my classes and all of the teachers this year! Computer class is fun because you get to learn new things about computers. It is one of the best classes! I love cheerleading. It is a lot of fun. Everyone should come to one of the basketball games and cheer them one. That's all that I have to say, so byee!
Hey, My name is Jay S. I have two sisters, one is Jessica and one is Michelle. Michelle is wierd and whenever my sister was in Mr. Mikesell she would talk to a table. The good thing is though that she is out of this school and in High School =P. I have been going to this school since kindergarten, which is a long time... any way im going to stop typing because my fingers are starting to hurt from lesson 19 we did today.

Now that I have seen the Internet Saftey Assembly and have seen how it is very easy to track kids, I'm going to be alot more careful about what I do on the net. I think all kids should because you don't want to risk your life on the net.

Hey, guys it's Kaylee! I have been going to MMS since kindergarten. Very fun, love it! I don't have any brothers but annoying cousins Austin (6th) Garrett (1st) lol..just kidding. I have a mom that works for CAT. I also have 4 animals Buddy,Chloe(dogs) Twinkle, and Whizzer (cats)I play on the Lady Timber-Wolves Basketball team. Love to stay and chat but I have to get going to math :P

Hey, it's Roe! I have gone to Midland schools since kindergarten, and I have loved every second of it. These schools have such a great atmosphere and they make me feel comfortable! I have five sisters, four of which attend Midland Schools and a brother. And so, that's pretty much all about me! Bye!

What did you learn at the Internet Safety assembly on Nov. 9?? What do you think of students your age using social network websites [MySpace] or chat rooms?
I think I learned something about saying certain things on the internet that might give your location away. Children who are using chat rooms/myspace/aol/etc. should be more obedient or attentive about what they type. I think about students around my age using chat rooms say things that arent' necassarily safe to say.

I learned that you can do so much by just using the Internet. I really didn't know you could find out where someone lives when you know there email. The assembly made me think twice, if not more than twice of what i have type on the internet. I think students using myspace is all right if they only keep in contact with students, or people they know. Some people I know personally like it because its easy for them to keep in touch with there family in different states.

Mrs. Isaacson here . . . This is my sixth year teaching at MMS. I like the students and staff here at Midland and Ienjoy teaching computer class. I feel that working with computers allows me to be creative andin touch with the current technology revolution. Igraduated fromIllinois State University and have aComputer Applications Endorsement. My husband and I have two daughters who are now young adults. The rest of my family attended(s) U of I so we are big ILLINI fans. My favorite thing to do is travel.

It's so easy to be tracked by people you don't even know on the internet! It's terryfying ot know that someone, somewhere, could know what I'm doing at all times! I learned I should be much more careful about what I do on the internet, and how to do what I do safely.

Well I learned that there are a lot of things people can get from the internet. I knew a lot of things and learned a little from the assemble. Well that is all I have to say.

I learned how easy it was to track someone just by email and name by using only the internet. I didnt know it was that easy to find out where u live your phone number and everything just by that. I have thought alot about what i have typed on the internet and i have changed ALOT of things on the internet. I think that if you are using myspace to keep in touch with other students and family it is all right but i think thats about it.

Hey its Taylor!....i go to MMS i have gone here since i was in kindergarden and i LOVE it. I like our teachers and princaple.I think i would have to say that i like computer class the best because i LOVE being on computrs and it gives you a chance to learn new things because you use the internet. I am an only child and live with my mom and dad, I have two dogs. I love traveling and camping. I like being out doors and playing sports. I hate winter because it gets REALLY COLD .. and thats about all i have to say !
